It was only 2 months ago that I was able to share Kia's 14th Birthday with all of you. Sadly, we let her cross the Bridge today.

She was truly a special girl and we will forever be diminished with her loss.

Carol

Wow....so sorry to here that Carol. Sure won't be the same next time we're down not getting the challenge from the bushes. :(

Oh Carol, she meant so much to you and Sam. I'm so very sorry for your loss but both of you gave her the greatest life she could've possibly had. She sure was happy last September when I saw her.

You should put a memorial in the bushes near the carport where she laid so much.

Sorry for your loss. Fourteen years though is wonderful. I wish they would all stay with us that long.

Thank you all for your well wishes. Sina. That is a good idea. I see her everywhere out near the carport and the Pampas Grass, but her laying in thre pampas grass doing her hold & bark will always be a special memory for us.

Carol

Steven and I are really sorry to hear of your loss. Having a 14 year old ourselves, this hits really close to home. Please accept our deepest condolences.

Godspeed Kia...we know you're kicking butt at that big Schutzhund field in the sky.

Thanks again everyone.

She has really given us so much humor in the last few years. Getting stuck in places and waiting for us to come help her. She had a special bark that meant...." I'm stuck come help me."

If she laid down facing down hill we had to help her get up. Finding herself a prime position to bark at the bad guy from. ( lord knows she could not have caught him...) She was so proud of herself earlier this year when the Fed-Ex man would not get out of the truck.

Most would have put her down a year or two ago due to the dysplasia problems, but she always had that bright look in her eyes until yesterday.

Love them while you can.

Carol

Carol and Sam, I am so sorry for your loss. Fourteen is such a wonderful age, yet still not long enough. I can only echo what everyone else has already said. Godspeed Kia.

Thanks again for all of the thoughts and prayers you have sent. I thought that I was prepared for this, but I guess you never are.

Anyway sharing this has helped.
