Hi, I am not sure where to post these questions.

I picked up a 50 LBS bag of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth, I am planning on using it around the Barn and feeding it to my livestock.

Then I got reading a bit on the net and I am now thinking of also giving it to the dog's it seems that it is good there health.

Anyone have any experience with this stuff is it worth it? If so what would be the best way to add it to the dog's routine? How much should I give?

DE will good be for your chickens for dust baths.....that's about it. For every website on the Internet extolling its virtues there's an actual research paper proving it doesn't do anything. Actually since its a dust made of tiny sharp particles it can be an irritant to the respiratory tract so if you still choose to feed it make sure you wet it down. I think there was already a topic on diatomaceous earth a few months ago on this forum. You should look it up.

didn't mean to be abrupt/blunt, was typing on my phone. However DE has been pushed as a miracle for loads of things and in reality, there aren't really even many pool filters that use DE anymore. Food grade diatomaceous earth is regularly used as a filter material in the wine industry.
