Yukka from house Rotvis

Today is a very sad day for me,Yukka from house Rotvis passed away today from a heat stroke.This will show you how quick things can happen.Yesterday I went in the kennel and washed each stall.My wife started cutting the grass I got on my 4 wheeler and started pulling the rack behind my wife,we did the back yard first,Yukka going crazy as usually after the flying grass.We did the front yard then picked up the equip.I went in kennel to start letting dogs play in yard and I did not see Yukka.Yukka was on the cement floor not moving,I hosed her down got wife to wet towel while I put her in my truck.I drove to to emergency animal hospital and they started IV and blood work.they pumped her with steriods,plazma and other drugs trying to stabilize her and she finally started turning around a little.She could not move but when I said her name she would blink her eyes.This morning she was able to lift her head for a few seconds.Then the worst came and she went into seizures and passed away.It is a very sad day for me but Yukka is at peace now and not suffering anymore.My kennel is sreened in has 4 ceiling fans,2- 32" box fans and 1 top blower and is about 80 degrees in mid summer.The temp yesterday was 85 in the sun and was cooler in the keenel than in the yard.Yukka was just a high drive dog and wanted to chase anything that would move.The rest of my dogs that were in the kennel were fine and do not get worked up like Yukka.So people please keep a close eye on your pets Sorry to make this post so long just wanted to show how quickly things happen.

That is just hard to hear after seeing her just a couple of days ago. Your one beautiful female pup will go a long way in carrying on her name. RIP Yukka

It was really tough tonight when it was feeding time and I passed in front of her kennel.

I am very sorry for your loss. Losing any of our dogs is always tough but it seems so much tougher when they go to early. Know that she will live on in your heart and thru her beautiful pups. God Speed Yukka.

Nason words cannot express how sorry we are about your loss. I'm sure you and the family must be devastated. Somethings we never get over but with Gods help we get around them and move on. Hang in there! You are in our prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Yukka from the show I judged last November. She was a beautiful dog. I'm glad you have puppies from her, but it's still a tragedy to lose such a promising bitch so young. Please take care.

OMG Nason ....

We are SO sorry to hear that this has happened. We've had a soul dog taken from us before he was suppose to and I know exactly how you are feeling. Be strong, the pain does get easier to live with! It is a wonderful thing to have her puppies with you, that will help....
